Our Story

Our story is one built on family, flavour and following our passions across the world.

We met in Naples, built a life together in Texas and now call England our home.

Along the way BBQ became more than just food to us - it became a tradition, a craft, and a way of connecting people no matter where we were.

The smoky aroma of brisket on the pit, the comfort of a tray piled high with sides & the joy of sharing a meal with family & friends...those are the roots of everything we do.

When we started this business, it was never just about serving food. It was about bringing Authentic Texas BBQ to new tables, while keeping that same homemade, soulful feel you'd get in a smokehouse.  We use the same low-and-slow techniques that define true Texas BBQ: real wood smoke, patience and respect for every cut of meat.

Our homemade rubs, sauces and sides are crafted with just as much care, because BBQ isn't complete without the extras that make the tray sing.

This is a family-run business, and you'll feel that from the moment you step up to the food trailer.  Every brisket we slice, every pork we pull, every rib we serve, and every tray we hand over carries a piece of our journey - and a whole lot of love.

Whether you're enjoying a sandwich on the go, inviting us to cater your wedding or private event, or stopping by for a full Texas-style feast, we're here to give you food that's rich, rustic & rooted in tradition.

The history behind the name...

There's a Garth Brooks song called Friends in Low Places which begins with the lyrics "Blame it all on my roots, I showed up in boots & ruined your black tie affair".

In 2011 Pitmaster's wife, Lisa (then friend) went to visit him from England & whilst sat in the kitchen, the song came on, she sang along & he joined in. At that moment she realised she felt something for this American guy who obviously had a love for her favourite music, Country music! Fast forward & we've been married 11 years!

Pitmaster got this tattoo a couple of years ago because his Texas roots are very important to him (like he says "I wasn't born there but I got there as fast as i could!").

So when it came to naming our new baby, this business, it was a no-brainer!
