March 2025 - And so it begins...

It began when a friend said "Why don't you cater our parent's wedding anniversary?"...

We were over the moon at the opportunity so we started to plan!

She decided she wanted PLENTY of food to feed her 50 guests so we did 10 racks of Spare Ribs, Smoked Turkey Breast & Brisket! For sides they chose Mac N Cheese, BBQ Beans & Creamed Corn.

We drove an hour to get there and got all set up - this was the first time using everything! From the gazebo to the bain maries and everything in between, but everything went smoothly which we were very grateful for!

Pitmaster Tex had been at work the day before so when he got home he got straight on the Smoker and was there watching the pit, managing the fire and temps all throughout the night before we got everything into the cars and set off the next day...by the time the event ended he had been awake for 36 hours straight so we made the decision to leave one car at our friends house and pick it up the day after.

The event went AMAZINGLY ! All the guests got plenty to eat, they all LOVED all the food they ate, and some got to take leftovers home too! We ended up leaving my friend with a couple of racks of ribs and mac n cheese for the freezer too!

We were so happy with how the event went & it spurred us on and gave us motivation and confidence to do more....

ONE WEEK LATER... We catered for a small dinner party and we were so happy to do so! Jenn got in touch and said she was having a birthday dinner for a few friends, could we cater it? We said absolutely! Between us we came up with a fab idea to give each guest their own BBQ tray, looking like it would look if served in a BBQ place back in Texas. Jenn was very happy and so were her guests who all really enjoyed the food!

She chose to have Beef ribs, Pork Ribs (In her own words "There's no way I'm choosing between the ribs!"), Turkey Breast, Mac N Cheese, Creamed Corn, BBQ Beans & Corn Bread.

The best bit?! Jenn had made perfect little place name cards with our logo on & we loved that! After the event Jenn left us such a lovely review on Facebook & we're hoping we see her again soon!

First Pick Up Night

When we decided to start this business it came from an idea of holding pick up nights from our home, our first of which was held on 15th March (Just one week again since Jenn's dinner party!) - this had 6 orders, and to be honest we were so happy with that as we had no idea if people were even going to like the idea!

Our first pick up was Keith, and what a fab guy! He ordered the Texas Tray and chicken thighs and really enjoyed all of it, so much so he  left us a fab review & then ordered him and his friends some Trays to enjoy when we popped up at Cullingworth Cricket Club!

A huge thanks to everyone who ordered and has ordered since because without you we never would have carried on!

The first pick up night was a great success and we were so happy we arranged the next date and got it online!

First Pop-up & Festival: Cullingworth Cricket Club

Katie from Bar 1873 at Cullingworth Cricket Club got in touch to ask if we would like to pop-up in the car park one night, we agreed as Cullingworth is so local to us we thought it would be lovely to meet some BBQ fans close to home!

So we chose the date which was to be Sat 3rd May and got organising.

We'd never popped up before so we had no idea how much food to make ha! We decided to go with Pulled Pork Sandwiches and do some loaded Mac with pulled pork and then some nachos which would be topped with my BBQ beans and pulled pork too!

We also offered the folk of Cullingworth the chance to pre-order themselves our Texas Tray, and a few chose to do just that!

The evening went really well, and we met some lovely people, all really friendly and we thought if this is how these pop-ups go we're going to really enjoy doing them!

We have since popped up a couple more times, and then we were blessed to have been invited to trade at Crickfest - their annual music festival held on August Bank Holiday right there on the Cricket pitch. And what a festival it was! Everyone was in good spirits, the beer was flowing, the music was amazing and the food was fab! Besides us, there was a Greek/Cypriot truck & a pizza truck - we enjoyed food from both! We sold out every last crumb of food we brought by around 8pm (and we'd even brought extra food!) So if we're lucky enough to see y'all there again in 2026 we will definitely bring more food for you hungry folk!

Popping up at Brewery Taps!

We have been lucky to have been invited to pop up with our trailer to some lovely Brewery Taps!

So far this year we have been to:

  • PigLove By the River in Leeds - this went amazing, the vibe of the place was fantastic, everyone was so friendly and relaxed we really enjoyed being there, so much so we popped back up at the end of October too! Was so lovely to hear people commenting on how they were really glad to see us being back there as they had enjoyed our food previously!
  • Wensleydale Brewery Taproom - Up just outside the lovely little village of Leyburn we popped up and stayed overnight in the roof tent on the truck! We catered for a party on the Saturday night for a lovely lady who served all her guests some yummy pulled pork sliders - everyone really enjoyed the night, it was a lot of fun! Sleeping in the roof tent was interesting but pretty comfy overall!
  • Craven Brew Co - Unfortunately this event was spoiled by horrendous rain all evening which was so disappointing, so we are hoping to pop back up there in the warmer months of 2026 so people can enjoy their food without it getting wet!!!

We're looking forward now to popping up at Saltaire Brewery and 1B Tap House in Blackburn!

What a night at 1B TapHouse in Blackburn!

We popped up last night, Sunday 2nd Nov at a fabulous bar called 1B TapHouse in Great Harwood in Blackburn.  Here's a link to their page - go check them out & give them a visit! 1B TapHouse or check out their instagram here: 1B Instagram

They have lots of amazing music and food vendors serving amazing food from all around the world!

It took us just over an hour to get there, once we chose an appropriate route to tow a trailer on! When we set off the weather wasn't great, but it stayed fairly decent all night thankfully!

We got to the bar, pulled up outside and got set up and plugged in. We were ready to serve so we opened the hatch, and wow what a response! There was a queue of folk lined up ready for their BBQ! We had already had pre-orders for 10 Beef ribs!

We continued to meet & serve lots of amazing, lovely people all night until we closed up around 7pm. I think we served approximately 25 people during the 3 hours we were there plus the lovely folk who enjoyed their pre-orders! Everyone was kind enough to give us great feedback too!

The Owner, Kelly & her Marketing Manager Reese are the most lovely and supportive people and we are so blessed to have met them.

We are so grateful to have been invited back next year and seriously cannot wait until 1st Feb when we get to see them all again!

We are working on a couple of menus for next year so hoping to give them all something a bit different each time we visit - gotta keep y'all on your toes!

We were also very lucky to have some friends from the BBQ Community come along to support us too and we're very grateful they did so a huge thanks to Adam, Laura & George, Callum & Danielle.
